Renee Collman, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the St. Vincent Hospice Center. She was born to the late Georgette Rausch on September 15, 1928 in Nancy, France.

Renee came to America in 1949 and has called Indianapolis her home ever since.

Renee had a passion for the ballet, being a ballet dancer in France herself. Her favorite was The Nutcracker, which she tried to attend yearly with her grandsons. She was an avid reader, loved a wide variety of music, and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Renee is survived by her two sons, John (Gwen) McWhorter and Alan (Betty) McWhorter; as well as her four daughters, Patricia (Lowell) Colestock, Linda (Larry) Shepard, Landa (Rick) Hutzel, and Diane McWhorter. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Collman, who passed away on April 4, 1996.
